Depart Seattle: 2:00pm. Expected arrival in Vancouver: ~4:30-5:00pm, give or take depending on border wait times into Canada. Unexpected traffic encountered: 5:30pm. Arrival in Vancouver: in just enough time to make a snap decision (based entirely off a glimmer of sunshine appearing from within an otherwise stormy sky) to head to Stanley Park to shoot sunset. Yeah, checking in to my hotel can wait... the light is here! This was literally my fifth or sixth frame after getting to the western shore of Vancouver harbour last weekend. Literally less than a minute later, the light on the city skyline and on the clouds in the sky disappeared.

Sufficed to say, I was pretty happy to get the shot when I did. I hung around shooting in the harbour for the next hour or so, waiting for the light to come back (and it finally did right before the sky turned to black) but it never got as good as this again. I haven't been up to Vancouver for a long time, and it was good to get back up there to again experience the beautiful city that it is.
