I spent last weekend roaming around Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park for the first time since moving to the USA. The colours of Autumn were out in full force in certain sections of the park, with all the aspen trees glowing bright hues of orange and yellow. The early morning sunlight added all kinds of variation to the trees on the mountainside, too.
Temperatures ranged from cold at night to quite hot in the day, and variations in between as you drove the east-west highway through the park that ascended and descended across the mountain range.
Several roads and trails led to fields, lakes, trees, forests, and even elk. It's a magical time to visit such a magical place.
